Polda Metro Jaya Conducts Security Patrols And Prevents Street Fights

Context: why it’s trending

The Polda Metro Jaya police force has increased its operational focus on maintaining public order through proactive early-morning patrols in the Jakarta metropolitan region. Recent efforts have resulted in the apprehension of multiple groups of youths in both South Tangerang and East Jakarta who were identified while allegedly preparing to engage in street fighting. During these incidents, authorities confiscated items including mobile phones, motorcycles, and prohibited weapons such as golf clubs and sharpened tools. Concurrent with these field security measures, the police force has confirmed structural shifts within its internal administration. Leadership updates have been finalized for the regional Intelligence and Security Directorate, the Bureau of Operations, and the internal audit and oversight divisions. These measures reflect ongoing adjustments to the department's command structure alongside efforts to mitigate civil disturbances in local communities across the capital and its surrounding satellite cities.
